Pronounced: En/ko/Say
American-born and Caribbean-raised in a Jamaican home, Enkosé grew up surrounded by the rhythms of music and the truths of Scripture. Raised in a Seventh-day Adventist household, he was introduced to God at a young age and learned early on about the beauty and depth of biblical truth.
Despite a rough upbringing and growing up in a single-parent home, creativity became his safe haven—music, storytelling, and expression were his outlets. That love led him to Oakwood University, where he pursued his passions. But when financial hardship hit, he was forced to leave school and eventually found himself homeless for nearly a year.
In that season of brokenness, everything changed. One day, standing outside in desperation, he cried out to God. At that very moment, a firefly appeared—small, gentle, glowing—and touched his heart in a way he couldn’t explain. It was a sign of light in his darkest hour, and it reminded him that God still saw him, still had a plan, and hadn’t given up on him.
From that moment forward, Enkosé surrendered his life to God. He was renewed, restored, and given a second chance. Today, he shares his testimony and deep love for God through music, film, and storytelling using his gifts to inspire others, especially those who feel forgotten or on the margins, just like he once did.
